Our Neurology Services

David D. Van Slooten, MD, PA provides comprehensive outpatient neurology care in Westwood, New Jersey. Along with consultations and follow-up care for disorders of the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles, our physicians perform a range of diagnostic tests and treatments right in our office, so patients from Bergen County and nearby communities can often complete their evaluation in one familiar place.

EMG & Nerve Conduction Studies

Electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS) measure how well nerves carry electrical signals and how muscles respond. They help diagnose carpal tunnel syndrome, peripheral neuropathy, pinched nerves and muscle disorders, and they show where a problem is located and how severe it is.

Routine EEG, 24-48 Hour Ambulatory & Video EEG

An electroencephalogram (EEG) records the brain's electrical activity through small electrodes on the scalp. We offer routine EEG in the office, 24-48 hour ambulatory EEG that you wear at home, and video EEG that matches brain activity with recorded behavior to help evaluate seizures and unexplained spells.
